The Findings of New Cases of PulmonaryTuberculosis at the Tourism General Hospital, University of East Indonesia

Abstrak

The discovery of new tuberculosis cases at the East Indonesia University Tourism General Hospital from 2021to 2022 has increased. This research aims to 1) What is the pattern of discovery ofnew cases of pulmonary tuberculosis in 2021 and 2022 at the Tourism General Hospital, University of East Indonesia 2) How is the discovery of new cases of Tuberculosis based on month in 2021 and 2022 at the Tourism General Hospital, University of East Indonesia 3) How are New TB Cases Found Based on Age in 2021 and 2022 4) How are New TB Cases Found Based on Gender in 2021 and 2022. This type of research is qualitative. This research uses descriptive observational. This research was conducted in May-June 2023 at the Tourism General Hospital, University of East Indonesia. The population in this study were all patients with new cases of pulmonary tuberculosis at the Tourism General Hospital, University of East Indonesia. The samples in this study were patients with new cases of pulmonary tuberculosis in 2021 and 2022 at the Tourism General Hospital, University of East Indonesia with a total of 182 patients. The variable in this study was new cases of pulmonary tuberculosis. The data in this study was analyzed based on gender and age characteristics which were then presented in table form and then narrated. From the results of the research conducted, a pattern of new case discovery was obtained. In 2021 the highest was in September at 15.9% and in 2022 the highest was in November at 21.0%. Based on the male gender, in 2021 there will be 32.1% of new cases and in 2022 there will be 67.9% of new cases. The female gender in 2021 amounted to 38.6% of new cases, and in 2021 amounted to 61.4% of new cases. Based on age categories, the newest cases found were those of productive age in 2021 amounting to 85.7%, and in 2022 amounting to 78.2%.
