Aims of the Journal

The Journal of Physical Sport, Therapy and Rehabilitation (JPSTR) aims to provide a scientific platform for the publication and dissemination of high-quality research in the areas of physical activity and exercise science, physical therapy, sports injury management, musculoskeletal health, and physical rehabilitation. Specifically, the journal aims to:

  • Promote the advancement of scientific knowledge in physical activity, exercise science, physical therapy, and rehabilitation through the publication of original, relevant, and methodologically sound research.
  • Disseminate evidence-based findings that can support the development of effective interventions for improving physical function, mobility, movement quality, recovery, and quality of life.
  • Encourage research on sports injury prevention and management, including injury risk identification, functional screening, rehabilitation strategies, return-to-sport assessment, and recovery monitoring.
  • Support the development of physical therapy and therapeutic exercise practices by publishing studies on manual therapy, exercise therapy, electrotherapy, neuromuscular interventions, mobility training, strengthening, balance training, and pain management.
  • Strengthen the scientific foundation of physical and sports rehabilitation through studies related to musculoskeletal rehabilitation, post-operative rehabilitation, functional recovery, progressive exercise programs, and return-to-activity protocols.
  • Facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration among researchers, lecturers, physiotherapists, rehabilitation practitioners, sports scientists, clinicians, and health professionals working in areas related to physical function and rehabilitation.
